Slow-Cooked Chili
Ingredients:
2 pounds ground turkey or beef
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 large onions, finely chopped
1 carrot, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
3 cans of diced tomatoes
1 tablespoon paprika
2 tablespoons coriander
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoons regular or hot chili powder
Directions:
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the onions, carrots, and celery and saute until softened, about 5 minutes.
Add the ground turkey or beef and cook until meat is just browned, another 6-8 minutes.
Transfer the meat and vegetable mixture to a slow-cooker and add the tomatoes and remaining ingredients.
Set on low and cook for at least an hour and a half, and up to 6 hours.
